Principal Investigator
Mississippi State University
Geosystems Research Institute

Summary:

The research team of MSU will be headed by Dr. Deepak Mishra who will oversee the project. All members will take part the field data collection efforts in the three Gulf State wetland sites. In the field, the team will conduct experiments for the acquisition of reflectance measurements at leaf and canopy level LAI and Chl, and VF measurements, and biogeochemical data across several oil gradients. The field data will then be used in satellite model calibration and validation. Together with other investigators, Dr. Mishra will present research results at scientific meetings, develop manuscripts for submission to scientific journals, and prepare reports to GRI.
